Treat Yourself to Krewe of Boo This Halloween

October 19 2015 | News

Halloween in the French Quarter is an experience like no other, and this year is no exception! Celebrate Halloween in true New Orleans fashion with a parade—Krewe of Boo is the Big Easy’s official Halloween parade and it rolls through the streets of the French  Quarter Thursday, October 24 at 6:30 p.m.

It’s a taste of Mardi Gras in the fall with the spooktacular floats designed by world-famous (and local business) Kern Studios.

Krewe of Boo will start on Elysian Fields Avenue in the Marigny and travel into the French Quarter on N. Peters Street. Then the parade will take a left on Canal Street and travel up Canal until Dauphine Street where it will make a U-turn and head back down to Tchoupitoulas Street. The parade turns right on Juila Street and finally travels down Henderson Street to Mardi Gras World, where the parade comes to an end.

The parade supports local businesses and gives the crowds great treats by throwing locally made food items and collectables like Zapp’s Potato Chips and New Orleans Roman Candy Taffy.

Stick around after the parade for a fun-filled after party at Mardi Gas World. The Krewe of Boo Spook Fest starts at 8 p.m. and will continue into the wee hours with live music, food, and booze!
