October 17 2014 | News

November doesn't slow New Orleans down. The food festival fun continues around town from beginning to end showcasing the Big Easy's unique culture with events like the Bayou Bacchanal, Treme Gumbo Festival, and Oak Street Po' Boy Festival.

Bayou Bacchanal

New Orleans is full of unique culture, including Caribbean culture…and what better way to showcase it than a free festival? Held November  1 &2, this festival is full of fun in the form of masqueraders dancing to the beat of steel drums with authentic Caribbean cuisine.

Treme Gumbo Festival

This festival serves as a reminder you can’t visit the Big Easy without tasting some great gumbo! The free Treme Gumbo Festival is November 8 & 9 in Louis Armstrong Park. Fill your stomach with amazing gumbo and fill your ears with the wonderful sounds of  New Orleans Jazz.

With all of these fun festivals, fall is the perfect time to come play!

Oak Street Po Boy Festival

Everyone knows the po' boy is a New Orleans specialty, but did you know it has it's own festival?  This Uptown event features the famous sandwiches Sunday, November 23 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Oak Street, off S. Carrollton. Staying in the French Quarter? No problem! Just hop on the St. Charles Steetcar line for a $1.50 each way!

During this fabulous fesitvals, stay in the famous French Quarter at Hotel Provincial. Just steps from major Big Easy attractions, the hotel offers the all charm you'd expect from a New Orleans period boutique hotel and all of the modern amenities of a luxury chain hotel.
