Fringe Fest Nov. 19- Nov. 23

November 18 2014 | News

In New Orleans, we’re known for our eccentric and exciting ways. It’s no secret we just do things differently—from frequent parades to grabbing “to-go” drinks.  So, of course it just makes sense that we’d have a festival dedicated to our uniqueness. Behold Fringe Fest.

This year, the festival is Wednesday, November 19 through Sunday, November 23 and we highly recommend attending. Set at different locations throughout the city, the festival celebrates our quirky style through performances including comedy, musical theatre, drama, dance, storytelling, and more!

It’s a fun festival with most venues in the hip Bywater and Faubourg Marigny neighborhoods—just a short distance from the famous French Quarter. While there are shows everyone will enjoy, we highly recommend doing a little research on each show before you show up, especially if you’re bringing kids. Some shows are more family-friendly while some you’ll find are adults only.

Tickets are required for most shows, but there will be some free events as well like: Friday Nights of Fringe Party, Spoken Word, and Parade HotSpots, and after parties.
