Football Season is around the corner
While the heat and humidity continue to keep people near fans and air conditioning, we're already thinking football. Some might be saddened by this, but here in New Orleans most of the residents are counting down the days until the biggest and some may say the best season.
If you’re planning a weekend trip to New Orleans between August and (fingers crossed) the Superbowl, prepare yourself for a city that bleeds black and gold. But don’t fret, this is great news because the love we have for our team only enhances your experience and bring you the opportunity to get a firsthand encounter of our city’s passion for our team.
Visitors can look forward to fantastic tailgating, great pregame parties at Champions Square, yummy drink and food specials, and a palpable energy resonating throughout the city. I recommend visiting the city during football season and checking a home game to get the full experience. The Saints have two preseason and eight regular season games at the Mercedes Benz Superdome this year.

As an insiders, local tip – start planning your trip now by purchasing your game tickets and booking your hotel in advance. French Market Inn is located just a short trip away from the Dome and within a few blocks of Bourbon Street for all of the post-game festivities.
