3 Can't Miss New Orleans Events Coming Up
The musical notes from Jazz Fest have faded away. The Mardi Gras floats have rolled into the warehouse to be retooled and redecorated for next year. The festival season is technically winding down, however, there’s still lots going on in New Orleans!
There is always something going on in New Orleans. Even when there’s nothing on the events calendar, there’s music to enjoy and places to eat, especially in the French Quarter. Plus, it’s a great time to come because the streets are a little less crowded and the lines at the restaurants a little shorter.
New Orleans Wine and Food Experience
New Orleans is a destination for food lovers. That’s even more true later this month with the New Orleans Wine and Food Experience takes over the town with 75 chefs showing off their talents and more than 1,000 different wines being poured from 100 different wineries at events across town.
Festigals
This one is for the ladies! Enjoy a weekend away in New Orleans. Festigals includes several days full of entertainment and empowering information. Events vary from professional development speakers to parades down Bourbon Street. This definitely isn’t your average convention.
Essence Music Festival
In July, the Essence Music Festival comes to town. It’s the largest annual African-American event features more than fifty musical acts over five stages. This year’s headliners include Brandy, Maxwell and New Edition.
No matter when you plan your trip, there’s so much to do. The best part is that we’re close to all of the festivities with our French Quarter location. Hotel St. Marie is just a short walk to all of the best bars and restaurants in the city, as well as conveniently located near all of the major historic and cultural attractions.
