We are so excited that the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival is almost here! Many of you who booked rooms with us between April 25 and May 4 made reservations just for this event, so we know you’re excited too.
In case you haven’t looked over the schedule yet, the festival is featuring some big headliners this year. The lineup includes:
· Eric Clapton
· Bruce Springsteen and E Street Band
· Christina Aguilera
· Robin Thicke
· Arcade Fire
· Maze featuring Franki Beverly
· Public Enemy
There will also be a lot of local artists performing, like Aaron Neville, Kermit Ruffins, Dukes of Dixieland, Shotgun Jazz Band, and Allen Toussaint.
That’s just the Jazz part of the festival though. Besides great music, it’s also a wonderful celebration of New Orleans heritage. Every year, the festival is held at the Fair Grounds Race Course (from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.), and many event goers love taking advantage of all the Louisiana-style fair food that’s served there. Hundreds of local and regional artists will also be there, showing off and selling their craft bazaar. It’s truly a unique festival experience.
If you booked a room with us, then you’re going to have a great time. In between festival events, you’ll be able to relax in a beautiful room, walk anywhere in the French Quarter, watch street performers, go to galleries, see famous New Orleans sights – all close to your room!
