Valentine’s Day is Friday, and since it’s a special day, we decided to do something special to celebrate. On Friday, Le Meritage will open its doors for one day and serve up a special Valentine’s Day meal!
For those of you who haven’t stayed with us before, Le Meritage is one of our great venues for private events. It is rarely open for public dining, so being able to make a reservation for a dining experience like this is a special treat.
Valentine’s Day diners will be served a fix menu, which a lot of planning time went into. The meal will start off with Turtle Soup Maison, garnished with boiled egg, sherry and scallions. Once that’s finished, waiters will bring you pan-seared Cherry Quail Risotto and Whole Roasted Filet Mignon. The sides are just as delicious – Sweet Potato Bread Pudding and Broccoli Rabe Chevre Silke.
Since it’s Valentine’s Day, we’ll top it all off with something sweet – King Cake Bread Pudding, served with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.
This special dining experience is $70 a person, and for another $25 the expert staff will add a wine pairing as well. Reservations are needed, so call for a table ahead of time: (504) 648-6113.
And since Valentine’s Day falls on a Friday this year, it’s the perfect time to plan an entire weekend getaway with your sweetheart. We still have a couple of rooms available, so it’s not too late to surprise someone with a romantic, fun trip to New Orleans for a couple of days.
