Is this the best meeting space in the French Quarter?

August 14 2013 | News

Let’s just say it – more often than not, planning a big group meeting is a pain. First, you need to find space that’s big enough for your group, but not so big that it’s overwhelming. The venue has to be in a good location, preferably within walking distance to shops, restaurants and bars so that people will have things to do during downtime. If you’re planning a conference or inviting people from out of town, then you need rooms for attendants to stay in overnight.

The search for a perfect place can be time consuming and stressful.

We're going to save you some time and stress. If you’re planning a big meeting, corporate event, retreat or basically any event requiring a lot of room for a lot of people (family reunions, anyone?) in New Orleans, then chances are we can help.

Prime location

We’re located in the French Quarter, so being close to the action is not a problem. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, spots for live music and shopping around. Enjoy the peacefulness of the hotel during your event, and explore the life the the French Quarter when it's over. It's the perfect combination.

Versatile space

The Latrobe Room is, in one word, versatile. It can be set up like a classroom, theater style, in a U shape, with round tables, in a conference style and more. Up to 60 people can comfortably use the room at one time, but it can be scaled down for smaller groups as well. Whether you're planning a big business meeting or an intimate dinner, you can make the room exactly what you want.

Great atmosphere

Right outside of the Labtrobe room is a French Quarter courtyard, which is the perfect setting for a small cocktail reception, or a great area to relax between sessions. The room itself has a European flair that’s anything but boring.

So is this the best meeting space in the French Quarter? We like to think so. The Group Sales Department can give out more information about meeting or banquet space, and can give you personalized service tailored to your request. Just call 800-535-7922, or email
