The spring is upon us, and with spring comes some of the best annual events New Orleans has to offer. In addition to Mardi Gras and fall festivals, spring festival season is one of the best times of the year to enjoy the city and its food, music, history, architecture, and more.

Because this is such a popular time of year to visit New Orleans, hotels can get booked up fast, and the longer you wait, the higher the prices will go. Here are three reasons why you should book a hotel for your spring trip to New Orleans today.

New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (April 22 – May 1)

New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, lovingly known as Jazz Fest, is one of New Orleans’ premier annual events and the ultimate showcase of New Orleans culture. Each year, lines of food booths seem to stretch for miles, all of which offer unforgettable dishes with local flare, and hundreds of musical acts are spread across about a dozen stages throughout this two-weekend event. This year’s headliners include Stevie Wonder, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Neil Young, Paul Simon, Snoop Dogg, Van Morrison, and Steely Dan, to name a few, plus local favorites like Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue, Irma Thomas, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, and Dr. John & the Nite Trippers.

French Quarter Festival (April 7 – 10)

Featuring more than 400 musical acts across nearly two dozen stages, French Quarter Festival takes New Orleans’ most iconic neighborhood by storm for four days each year. While Jazz Fest features a number of local artists, at French Quarter Fest, New Orleans artists take center stage, which shows the truly expansive amount of musicians the city is so proud of. Local restaurants set up booths in different areas throughout the French Quarter and along the Mississippi River, and the festival organizers host a wealth of other assorted activities, including plenty of fun for the kids, each year.

New Orleans Wine & Food Experience (May 26 – 29)

This Memorial Day weekend, why not do something special by coming out to New Orleans to indulge in unbeatable food and wine-centric events at New Orleans Wine & Food Experience? This annual celebration features hundreds of wineries and restaurants, and more than two dozen local restaurants will feature special dining events in the weekend’s honor. Special events include the Royal Street Stroll, ViNOLA! Tasting, Grand Tasting, Big Gateaux Show, and a variety of seminars so you can get a taste of history and culture while you eat and imbibe.

Need we say more? Book your hotel stay today so you can experience the magic of these festivals and events for yourself this spring.
